Really make Americans first

Let’s do away with the terms Republican and Democrat, as I don’t know what they stand for any more.

We should be Americans first, defending the Constitution, not tribal followers. This notion was driven home last week in a conversation with a nice fellow from Tennessee. He indicated he hated Trump. He quickly followed up with “but I am a Republican” to indicate who he voted for. Is this where we are?

Everyone wants our tax dollars to be spent efficiently and effectively. However, it is obvious the current approach to governing is not thoughtful nor based on facts; it’s chaotic. Firing those with oversight authority, slashing the budgets and laying off federal employees in a haphazard way by a self-interested, unelected oligarch. The callousness of laying off people arbitrarily and then finding they goofed and tried to hire them back. This is the job of Congress.

Perhaps we could save a lot of money by laying off all Representatives and Senators, they aren’t protecting the Constitution anyway.

The real waste and fraud are the tax cuts for the ultra-rich and subsidies to oil companies as examples. Imposing tariffs to make money to cover the tax breaks for the wealthy. It will harm farmers and others as it did last time. The uncertainty has tanked the stock market, led to talk of recession and alienated longtime allies. I have seen nothing thoughtful, nor strategic in the approach to help the average American or make America great. I’m certain you’ve noticed inflation was reversed on day one as promised. Tariffs will make this worse.

The current economic downturn is an unforced needless error because of one man’s maniacal quest for power over the world and retribution (hate).
