Is this what people voted for?

Rep. Brett Guthrie responds to calls for meetings with constituents with claims that “voters from across Kentucky’s Second District gave President Trump a mandate to govern and fix the problems created over the last four years.”

I suggest that Guthrie check back with his constituents. Did they really vote for:

•The unconstitutional demolition of government agencies and programs that congress authorized?

•Cutting $880 BILLION from programs that his constituents depend on, including Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security?

•Imprisoning people without due process, because they have tattoos that might or might not be associated with Venezuelan Gangs, or expressing an opinion the administration does not like?

•Ballooning the deficit in order to continue to help the wealthy (like himself) at the expense of the rest of us?

•Dismantling the Peace Corps?

•Removing badly needed resources from our national parks?

•Allowing incompetent cabinet members to act above the law, defending actions that would get lower ranking employees fired?

•Removing minorities from places of responsibility, ostensibly because they supported DEI?

•Imposing arbitrary tariffs on our closest (former) allies, risking a recession and causing retaliation that costs Kentuckians jobs, especially farmers and bourbon distillers?

Mr. Guthrie should check to see just how much abuse the Trump voters are willing to take. I suspect he is afraid to ask.
