Western Kentucky’s men’s basketball team continued to restock the roster for next season, picking up a commitment from McNeese State transfer forward Bryant Selebangue.

Selebangue announced his commitment to WKU on Instagram and is set to become the third addition to the 2025-26 Hilltopper roster from the NCAA transfer portal. WKU announced the signings of transfer guard Cam Haffner (Evansville) and forward Louie Semona (Stonehill) earlier this week.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Selebangue helped McNeese State reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament after the No. 12 seed Cowboys stunned No. 5 seed Clemson 69-67 in the first round. McNeese went 28-7 and won the Southland Conference championship.

Selebangue, a native of Montreal, saw action in all 35 games as a senior for the Cowboys this past season and averaged 3.7 points and 4.3 rebounds (third on team). He scored in double figures four times for McNeese.

As a junior at Arizona State, Selebangue averaged 4.8 points and 4.1 rebounds while appearing in 32 games (five starts). He led the Sun Devils with 64 offensive rebounds.

Selebangue started all 30 games for Tulsa as a junior in 2022-23, averaging 12 points (second on the team) and a team-high 9.2 rebounds – good for the top spot in the American Athletic Conference that season. Selebangue shot a team-best 61.5% from the field and had 14 blocked shots.

After starting his college career at Hutchinson Community College in 2020, where he averaged 6.6 points and 4.4 rebounds while helping the Blue Dragons reach the NJCAA National Tournament, Selebangue moved on to Florida Southwestern Community College for the 2021-22 season. Playing at FSCC then head coach Eric Murphy – now an assistant coach on WKU men’s basketball coach Hank Plona’s staff – Selebangue averaged a double-double with 12.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in 30 games. He shot 69% from the field and averaged 1.1 blocks per game, earning FCSAA all-state and NJCAA All-Region VIII honors along with first-team all-conference accolades.

Selebangue would be the fifth newcomer to the program for the coming season, joining Haffner and Semona along with incoming freshmen shooting guard Armelo Boone (Woodford County) and forward Lawson Rice (Butler County) who were added during the early signing period.
