Western Kentucky’s men’s golf team turned in the fourth-best round of the day on Tuesday at Irish Creek Golf Club to move up the leaderboard five spots and finish seventh in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

WKU had a 5-over par 285 on Tuesday, a 15-shot improvement over Monday’s round.

Riley Grindstaff was WKU’s top finisher, moving up 25 spots after a 2-under 68 on Tuesday. Gage Doyle moved up 18 spots with a 1-over 71 on Tuesday, with Rafe Blankenship improving his position by 17 spots, as well.

The Hilltoppers are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Mountaineer Invitational in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
