Western Kentucky’s football team will host the Red & White Spring Showcase on Saturday at Houchens-Smith Stadium.

The event, designed to give fans a first look at the 2025 Hilltoppers, is scheduled to begin at noon and is free to attend.

WKU is coming off an 8-6 season in 2024, which included berths in both the Conference USA Championship Game and the Boca Raton Bowl.

WKU enters its seventh season under head coach Tyson Helton, who holds a 48-32 record during that time. In six seasons under Helton, the Hilltoppers have made appearances in two CUSA Championship Games and six bowl games, with four bowl victories during that time.

WKU enters its first season with Rick Bowie as offensive coordinator and the first season with Da’Von Brown and Davis Merritt as co-defensive coordinators.

New position coaches on this year’s staff include Bryan Applewhite (running backs), Jason Barnes (wide receivers) and Kali James (defensive tackles), while Jimmy Lindsey (run game coordinator/edges/defensive line) returns after a previous stint with the Hilltoppers. Kevin O’Brien was promoted to tight ends coach during the offseason after serving as the assistant offensive line coach last season.

The Hilltoppers return 53 total players from the 2024 roster, including 16 letter winners. The program signed 50 players since the early signing period in December. Forty of the newcomers are with the program this spring, with 33 of those transfers and seven true freshmen.

The Hilltoppers are scheduled to open the 2025 season with a Week 0 conference game against Sam Houston on Aug. 23 at Houchens-Smith Stadium.
