Kadyn Carpenter saved some of his best basketball at Bowling Green for the end of his Purples’ career.

The senior guard played a big role in BG’s run to the state title game, earning all-tournament honors. He capped his strong play in the tournament with a team-leading 19 points in the title game loss to Great Crossing on Saturday at Rupp Arena in Lexington. He averaged 14 points in Bowling Green’s four state tournament games.

“It’s been a great season,” Carpenter said. “All season I have been the underdog, so I felt like when we got on the big stage I needed to show what I can do.”
