BOWLING GREEN – Phyllis Kirby Frey, age 81, died Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Alvaton, KY native was the wife of the late Dr. Robert T. Frey and the daughter of the late Mary Alice Kirby & Oscar Kirby.

One sister Mary Colleen Herrmann & brothers Howard Kirby & Joel David Kirby, Niece Belinda Staten and nephew Monty Kirby also preceded her in death. Phyllis is survived by her sister Naomi Mayes & brother Bobby Kirby (Gina), Nephews Mike Herrmann (Gail), Frankie Kirby, Chris Kirby, Austin Kirby (Angela), Allen Kirby, Mark Mayes (Marissa), nieces Patti Koch (Bob), Debbie Soward (Charles), Donna Steinkamp, Melinda Kirby, Marna Chenault (Eric), Kimberly Beard (Cameron) & Christina Torres, Sister-in-law Margie Kirby.

She had several beloved friends, cousins & great & great-great nephews & nieces, her precious pup Pablo and her honorary little sis, Jana Thornton. She was a talented artist, a realtor by trade and had a love for all animals especially horses.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM until funeral mass at 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial in Friendship Community Church Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
