Driver arrested after BG woman struck, killed

A woman was struck and killed Saturday night by a vehicle, and the driver has been arrested.
Marlynn Elias, 48, of Bowling Green, was booked early Sunday into Warren County Regional Jail on charges of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance with death or serious physical injury and no operator’s license.
Elias is accused of fatally striking Kimberly Howard, 69, of Bowling Green, and driving away from the scene.
According to reports, the Bowling Green Police Department received a call around 7 p.m. Saturday about a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle in the 100 block of Riverwood Avenue.
Howard was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Elias reportedly returned to the scene later on Saturday night and was placed under arrest.
Online Warren County Regional Jail records indicate that Elias is being held under a $25,000 cash bond.
