Bowling Green’s Deuce Bailey was able to shine on the biggest stage once again, a key factor in the Purples’ Region 4 boys’ basketball championship win over Clinton County on May 19.

Bailey scored 12 points, including seven straight to help Bowling Green rally from a deficit late in the third quarter. A two-time state champion quarterback, Bailey added an all-tournament team award to his stellar resume for his clutch performance.

He said it meant a lot to capture the school’s first region title since 2021.

“I’ve been playing with these guys for years now,” Bailey said. “It just means everything for our senior year together to try to go out with a bang.”
