Warren East sophomore Jordan Brooks is setting the table for the Lady Raiders’ offense.

Brooks leads the team with a .500 batting average through the first four games – that includes a two-hit night with two steals and an RBI in Monday’s win over Bowling Green.

She said she likes being the one to get the offense going.

“Being in the leadoff gets my nerves up, but it also settles me into the game,” Brooks said. “Once I get in the box, I am ready to go. It also puts me in a place to get on for our second and third (hitters) to move me around. I enjoy it.”

Warren East is scheduled to play at Edmonson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
