BOWLING GREEN – Carol “Sue” Walker, born on December 16, 1942, in Henderson, Kentucky, passed away naturally at her residence in Bowling Green on March 19, 2025. She was a beacon of joy and a celebrated figure among her family and friends, known for her infectious spirit and love for life.
As a proud member of the Class of 1960 from Henry Clay High School, Sue carried herself with a vibrant energy that made every gathering memorable. Her career flourished at Empire Comfort Systems, where she made significant contributions and friendships that enriched her life. She was not only dedicated to her work but also to those she loved, hosting countless events that gathered family and friends around her table filled with laughter and love.
Sue was a devoted sports fan, taking immense pride in her support for the University of Kentucky basketball team and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Her enthusiasm for sports was matched only by her zest for life, as she embraced every moment with open arms and a joyful heart.
She is survived by her beloved nieces, Christina V. Glass (Chris) and Angela M. Jones (Sammy), along with several great nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Corbett Franklin; her mother, Anna Virginia Franklin; her brother, Charles Franklin; and her son, Brent Reaves. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who remain.
As we reflect on the wonderful life Sue shared with us, we are reminded of her unwavering spirit and the warmth she brought to every room. May she continue to inspire us to live fully, love fiercely, and celebrate the beauty of life just as she did. Also want to provide a special thanks to Sue’s caregivers; Judy, Kym, and Haley.
