A man was pronounced dead Saturday following a collision along Interstate-165, according to a preliminary investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 3.
Alberto Alejandro Alamo Ramos, of Hialeah, Florida, was traveling southbound when his vehicle exited to the left on the roadway across the grass median and into the northbound lane, according to KSP. It went “directly into the path” of a 2020 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 47-year-old Owensboro resident, Ryan Rutman, according to KSP.
The state police got the call of a possible fatal collision after 2 p.m, KSP stated. They arrived at the scene, located at the 14.4-mile northbound I-165 marker.
The Warren County Coroner pronounced Ramos dead at the scene, according to KSP.
A passenger from Ramos’ vehicle and two passengers of Rutman were transported to Bowling Green Medical Center to be treated for injuries, according to KSP.
KSP Trooper Landon Key is leading the ongoing investigation.
