WKU loses 2-0, drops series at Sam Houston

Western Kentucky’s softball team lost 2-0 to Sam Houston on Sunday in Huntsville, Texas.
The Hilltoppers dropped the weekend series and fell to 14-8 overall and 1-2 in Conference USA play.
The Tops were handed their first shutout loss on Sunday as Sam Houston scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning.
WKU collected a total of three hits and had at least one on third, but were unable to push any runs across.
Freshman right-hander Erica Houge got the start for the Hilltoppers and finished with two strikeouts and five hits.
WKU returns home for a four-game homestand starting with a midweek game on Tuesday against Ole Miss. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the WKU Softball Complex.
