All the campaign talk about ending the Ukraine-Russia war on day one was just that. Any of us could end the war the way we are now; capitulation. Just so he can brag about ending the war for political reasons.

Russia was struggling, and the brave soldiers of Ukraine were holding them back and making progress. Russia had to call on North Korea for soldiers and arms. Now we have pulled our support and are giving Putin everything he wants (territory and no NATO membership) and Zelenskyy has not even been involved.

Furthermore, Ukraine is being extorted to give us minerals with no guarantee for protection from Russia. Is this retribution for Ukraine not digging up fake dirt on Trump’s competitor during the election in 2020. Is everything about a business deal? Retribution? Where is our moral compass?

Our long-time European allies are realizing that they can’t count on us. There was bipartisan support for Ukraine’s defense. Where are the supporters now? We will pay the price in the long run when Russia regroups and initiates another invasion.

I am waiting for China to attack Taiwan, given the coward we have now who won’t support allies. He is destroying our relationship with Mexico and Canada with his policies while China is quietly investing in countries like those in South America and Africa to gain support, just as our USAID program did. All this weakens not only our standing in the world but our national security. The beacon of light for the world that was the U.S. is going out. So much for being great again.
