Bowling Green’s Braylon Banks picked the perfect time to hit his first 3 of the game in Friday’s District 14 championship game against Warren Central at Bowling Green High School.
The senior guard’s 3-pointer with three seconds left proved to be the difference, lifting the Purples to a 61-59 win over the Dragons. The win gave Bowling Green back-to-back tournament titles.
Banks finished the night with 10 points in the final home game of his career.
“It’s always good to get the win, but we are looking on to bigger things,” Banks said. “We want the next one.”
Bowling Green opens play in the Region 4 Tournament against Glasgow at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at E.A. Diddle Arena.
