In the opener, Central Michigan scored first with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, marking the first time this season WKU has not scored first.
The Hilltoppers put three runs on the board in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead with back-to-back RBI walks from Camden Ross and Kyle Hvidsten and an RBI single from Joe Siervo.
