The points kept piling up for South Warren’s McLaine Hudson in Monday’s 56-41 win over Greenwood in the opening round of the District 14 Tournament at Bowling Green High School.

The junior guard tallied 31 points, including 13 out of 14 for South Warren during one stretch in the second half, to help the Spartans advance.

“It’s kind of like a zone,” Hudson said. “I knew I couldn’t rely on the 3 tonight because the 3s may not fall. Just getting to the rim, maybe getting fouled, and putting it in, that is really important in district play and playoffs.”

South Warren faces Bowling Green in the title game at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
