BOWLING GREEN – It is with deep love, admiration, and sorrow that we announce the passing of JoAnn Meredith of Bowling Green, KY, who left this world on February 14, 2025 at the age of 76.

JoAnn was born in Bowling Green, KY on January 8, 1949. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her cat, Bunny, and her bird, Sweet Thing. She enjoyed bird watching, tending to her flowers, and a cold glass of sweet tea.

No matter who needed to talk, she was always there with a lending ear and shoulder to cry on. She was extremely proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She spent 42 years with Scott Tobacco Company as a skilled craftsman of the famous Mammoth Cave Twist.

She was married to the love of her life, John Kelly Meredith, for 38 years, and they enjoyed traveling the country with the U.S.S. Prichett Reunion Association. JoAnn thoroughly enjoyed playing computer games, Facebook, and reading.

JoAnn leaves behind two daughters, Phyllis Forrester (Donald) and Darla Sams, step-children John Meredith (Lori) and Kathy Sasse (Jeff); grandchildren Katelyn Mosley (Tyler), Lauren Nickel (Dakota), and Savannah Perkins (Christopher); great-grandchildren Charlotte and Caroline Mosley, Emilia Nickel, and Reece Perkins; sisters Gara Harp and Mary Pedigo Gripp (Jack), and brother David Lee (Sheila). She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kelly Meredith, father, David Woodford Lee, mother, Audrey Butler Lee, along with her beloved brother-in-law, Sidney Pedigo, and son-in-law, Jonathan Sams.

Funeral will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel; friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the chapel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Burial will follow in the Wingfield Church Cemetery.
