BOWLING GREEN – Clarence Francis Silva, age 94, passed away February 12, 2025 at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. The Oakland, CA native was the son of the late Clarence Walter Silva and Angelina Delores Moura and husband of the late Dorothy Silva.

Mr. Silva was a graduate of the University of San Francisco and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He served as a letter carrier for the USPS in California. He was a lifetime fan of the Oakland A’s and the University of San Francisco Dons.

Clarence is survived by his son, Philip Silva (Wendy), two grandchildren, Zachary Silva and Emily Silva, two stepsons, John Fensterer (Carol) grandchildren Evan and Becky and Frank Fensterer, and one stepdaughter, Teri Fensterer, and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday February 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM followed by burial in the Brook A. Beery Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
