Purples rout Red Devils for 7th straight win

Bowling Green’s boys’ basketball team stretched its winning streak to seven straight games with a 96-54 home win against Owensboro on Tuesday night.

Senior Luke Idlett led the Purples with 21 points, with fellow senior Joseph Hurt right behind with 20 points.

Bowling Green (19-4) triggered the KHSAA-mandated running clock once its lead grew to 35 points.

The Purples are back in action Friday at District 14 rival Warren Central — the Dragons are the last team to beat BG in a 62-51 decision on Jan. 17.

GIRLS

Warren East 61, Logan County 25

Kennedy Lawson connected on six 3-pointers and scored 24 points to boost homestanding Warren East to a 61-25 win against Logan County on Tuesday.

Madison Lawson added a trio of 3-pointers and scored 16 points for the Lady Raiders in the win.

Warren East (16-6) is back in action Monday at home against Warren Central.

Logan County (13-10) hosts District 13 foe Todd County Central on Friday.

ACS 78, Hart County 53

Avery Morris scored 29 points to pace host Allen County-Scottsville to a 78-53 win against Hart County on Tuesday.

Aubrie Naiser added 12 points, and Riley Roy chipped in with 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

ACS (11-11) is back in action Friday at District 15 rival Glasgow.
