Western Kentucky’s women’s soccer team has announced two new additions to the 2025 roster.
Danielle Lewin will come to WKU as a transfer in the fall, while Taylor Touche’ comes to Bowling Green as an early enrollee freshman for the current spring semester.
“Our recruitment efforts have been focused on making us a more dangerous attacking team,” WKU coach Jason Neidell said in a news release. “Both players are exciting additions who will have the opportunity to make big impacts on the attacking side of the field.”
Lewin comes to WKU as a transfer. At Georgia, she was named to the SEC All-Freshmen Team in 2021 after playing in 19 matches for the Bulldogs. She was third on the team in goals and shots on goal and was fourth in points and shots as a freshman. In her time at Georgia, she scored eight goals and notched an assist.
Previous to Georgia, the 5-foot-4 forward from Lawrenceville, Georgia, played at Collins Hill High School and with Tophat Soccer Club. She was invited to play with the Jamaican National Team in preparation for the 2020 U17 Women’s World Cup but the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
“Danielle brings a wealth of high-level playing experience at the club, college, and international level,” Neidell said. “She is a gifted athlete with the ability to score goals and create chances to score goals. She will be an exciting player to watch in a Hilltopper uniform.”
Touche’ played four seasons at Christian Academy of Louisville where she led her team to a KHSAA 2A state runner-up finish, a 28th District title and two district runners-up. She was named to the all-region team three times, region all-tournament team three times, district all-tournament team three times, and 2A Section 3 All-Tournament Team once. She also played in the All-State East vs. West Championship Game. She started in nearly 50 games as a high school player, scoring 69 goals.
At the club level, the 5-4 forward began playing with Racing Louisville ECNL/RL in 2024.
“Taylor came to our ID Camp this past fall, and we were immediately impressed by her speed and athleticism,” Neidell said. “She will be the fastest Hilltopper in our program this year. Her energy, commitment and growth mindset will make her a tremendous asset to our program.”
