Charles Lloyd Harpe

BOWLING GREEN – Mr. Charles Lloyd Harpe 89, of 786 Peachtree Ln., Bowling Green, Ky. went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2025. He was born in Addison, Ky. (Breckinridge County) to the late Charles Leo and Mae Harpe on June 26, 1935. He had been a resident at Greenwood Nursing Home since November 2023.
He celebrated 70 years of marriage on December 25, 2024 to his spouse Mary Harpe who survives. Charles is a former educator of 31 years having taught at East Hardin Elementary, Lincoln Trail Elementary, and principal at Radcliff Christian School. He was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He was also a former deacon at Severn’s Valley Baptist Church as well as Cloverport Baptist Church.
He was a member of and speaker for Gideons International. Survivors include a son Ron (Martha) Harpe, grandson Carrington (Hannah) Harpe, grandson Remmington (girlfriend Emily) Harpe, and great-granddaughter Vivian Claire Harpe. He has a second great-granddaughter on the way due in May of 2025.
His interests included Christian activities, automobiles, sports, family get togethers, good food, and learning about others. He was a dedicated Christian, son, spouse, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Funeral services have been rescheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 12 noon on Saturday, until time of services at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be private.
