Pettus paces Gators to 65-41 win against Panthers

Greenwood senior Asher Pettus scored a game-high 17 points to lead the visiting Gators to a 65-41 boys’ basketball victory against Russellville on Tuesday night.

The Gators improved to 4-0 with the win.

Greenwood hosts Logan County on Friday.

Octavius McKeage scored 10 points to lead the host Panthers.

Russellville (0-3) hosts Warren Central on Friday.

Bowling Green 82, Elizabethtown 43

Luke Idlett scored 26 points to pace visiting Bowling Green to an 82-43 win against Elizabethtown on Tuesday.

Bowling Green (2-0) hosts Glasgow on Friday.

Butler County 91, Owensboro 81

Ty Price scored 36 points to lead homestanding Butler County to a 91-81 win against Owensboro on Tuesday.

Trever Deweese added 20 points for the host Bears, with Justin Castlen (16 points) and Briar Griffin (10 points) also scoring in double figures.

Butler County (2-1) hosts District 12 rival Trinity (Whitesville) on Friday.

Logan County 58, Glasgow 50

Nicholas Blann scored 17 points to lead host Logan County to a 58-50 win against Glasgow on Tuesday.

Blann also grabbed seven rebounds for the Cougars. Brady Hinton added 11 points and six rebounds, and Samson Hightower had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Davis Switzer chipped in with nine points.

Logan County (1-2) is at Greenwood on Friday.

Glasgow (0-2) visits Bowling Green on Friday.

Girls

Greenwood 66, Russellville 40

Savannah White scored 18 points to boost visiting Greenwood to a 66-40 win against Russellville on Tuesday.

Gracyn Nealon added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Gators, with Anzlee Hendrix tallying nine points in the win.

Greenwood (3-0) hosts Logan County on Friday.

Mariyah Merriweather scored 16 points to lead the host Lady Panthers.

Russellville (0-5) faces Clinton County in the 4th Region State Farm Challenge on Saturday at Bowling Green.

Metcalfe County 68, South Warren 52

Jozie Allen notched a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds to spark visiting Metcalfe County to a 68-52 win against South Warren on Tuesday.

Aubrey Glass added 15 points, Kassady London had 13 points and Bree Jolly scored 12 points for the Lady Hornets in the win. Metcalfe improved to 3-0.

McLaine Hudson scored a game-high 30 points for the host Spartans.

South Warren (0-2) is at Allen County-Scottsville on Thursday.
