BOWLING GREEN — Marilyn A. Polston, 84, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Hospice House. The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Donoho Richards and was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Polston; one daughter, Lorri Polston Hocker and one son, Michael Polston; a brother, Walter Richards. Mrs. Polston was employed for 32 years at Eaton/Cutler Hammer, Inc. She then received her medical assistant degree and worked as a caregiver for Home Instead, then for Dr. Indar Jhamb before retiring.
She was a graduate of Alvaton High School and Davidson Technical College. She was a member of Burton Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Kelli Combs; a brother, Joe Richards; three grandchildren, Michael Polston, Stefani Grace (Travis) and Austin Hocker; one great grandchild, Sawyer Stephen Abel Grace; a special niece, Debbie Carter (Harvey); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 and again from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
