Evelyn Ruth Upton (Starr)

Bowling Green – Evelyn Ruth Starr Upton, age 83, passed away Thursday November 28, 2024 at her residence in Bowling Green. The Temple Hill, Ky. native was the daughter of the late James Starr and Verna Robinson Starr, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Upton. She was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship with her church family. She enjoyed going on camping trips with her husband, James. She is survived by her three sons, Charles Jones (Shirley), Jimmy Jones (Angie), and J.D. Jones (Stephanie), one step-daughter, Tammy Price, one sister, Helen Matthews (Billy), nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Visitation will be Monday December 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.
