James ‘J.B.’ Belcher

BOWLING GREEN — James “J.B.” Belcher, 85 of Bowling Green died November 22, 2024 at his daughter’s residence. The Warren County native was son of the late Earl and Lena Capshaw Belcher.

He was the husband of the late Carolyn Phelps Belcher. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Charlie Belcher and one sister, Joyce Bray.

Jim was a diesel mechanic for Eagle Industries. He was a member of Barren River Baptist Church and Barren River Fire Department. Jim also served in the U.S. Army.

His survivors include his two daughters, Kathie Blair (Eddie) and Margaret “Cookie” Oliver (Todd); three grandchildren, Katie Mae Adams, Maddie Oliver and Hunter Oliver, two sisters, Alice Jane Ruley and Mildred Holland (Tony); several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at a later date as cremation was his choice. His service has been entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104
