Hilltoppers announce 2025 baseball schedule

Western Kentucky baseball coach Marc Rardin announced the 2025 schedule on Tuesday.
The 56-game slate features 35 games in Bowling Green at Nick Denes Field as well as 10 meetings with 2024 NCAA Tournament teams. In all, WKU will take on five teams that made the postseason including one regional host, one super regional participant, and one team that made the College World Series.
WKU opens its 106th year of baseball with a four-game series against Illinois State from Feb. 14-16 at Nick Denes Field. The following Tuesday, the Hilltoppers will go on the road for the first time to play Southern Illinois on Feb. 18 in Evansville, Indiana.
The Tops will begin an eight-game home stand starting the next weekend with a three-game set against Lafayette College from Feb. 21-23 before hosting Eastern Kentucky for a midweek contest on Feb. 25. Central Michigan visits the following weekend for a four-game series from Feb. 28-March 2.
On March 4, the Hilltoppers head to Cookeville, Tennessee, to play Tennessee Tech before coming back home to host UNC Asheville for their final four-game series of the season from March 7-9. Southern Illinois comes to Bowling Green on March 11, prior to WKU hosting its final non-conference series of the season against UT Martin from March 14-16. The Tops then begin a five-game road swing starting with a Wednesday matchup with Eastern Kentucky in Richmond on March 19.
WKU starts Conference USA play the next weekend at new CUSA opponent, Kennesaw State, from March 21-23 in Kennesaw, Georgia, before taking a trip to Evansville to play super regional participant, Evansville, on March 25. Following that, the Tops return home for a series with Sam Houston on March 28-30.
Eight of the next nine games are on the road beginning with a midweek bout at regional participant, Vanderbilt, on April 1 before traveling to Dallas to take on 2024 CUSA champion, Dallas Baptist, from April 4-6. WKU returns home the following Tuesday to play Southern Indiana on April 8 before its second straight road series against Liberty in Lynchburg, Virginia, from April 11-13. The final game of the road stretch is a midweek trip to Louisville on April 15.
The Hilltoppers are back home the next weekend with a series against Middle Tennessee from April 17-19 before hosting Evansville on April 22. The final series of April will be on the road at Florida International in Miami from April 25-27 and their last midweek of the season is at home against regional host and College World Series participant, Kentucky, on April 29.
WKU will begin May with a home series against 2023 CUSA Tournament runner-up, Louisiana Tech, from May 1-3 before a road trip to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for a series with New Mexico State from May 9-11.
The Hilltoppers will close the 2025 regular season with a series against Jax State from May 15-17.
The 2025 Conference USA Championship will take place at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium in Lynchburg from May 21-25.
