Western Kentucky women’s golf coach Adam Gary announced the additions of Leah Edwards and Reagan Ramage on Thursday.
The duo will enter WKU in the fall of 2025 as freshmen.
“I’m super excited about the 2025 class of signees,” Gary said in a news release. “Leah and Reagan fit the mold of exactly what we are looking for in our culture. Both are hard working, competitive and accomplished golfers. I can’t wait to see them improve and grow both as golfers and people here on The Hill.”
Edwards will come to WKU from Northwest Guildford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is ranked No. 6 by the Carolina Golf Association and No. 354 by Junior Golf Scoreboard. She was the 2022 North Carolina Junior Girls Champion, qualified for the USGA Women’s Fourball and Junior PGA Championship, represented North Carolina on two Mid-Atlantic team matches and shot a tournament-record 6-under 66 at the Precision Girls Championship.
At the high school level, Edwards was a 10-time winner, including the 2023 and 2024 4A state championship. She earned all-state honors all four years and finished with a career stroke-average below par.
She is the son of Regina and Kip and has two siblings – Elaina and Keira. Her father Kip was a baseball player at Milligan. Edwards plans to study finance at WKU.
“I chose WKU because of the awesome atmosphere of the school,” Edwards said. “I really like coach Gary and think that he will be an important part of being the best player I can be. I like the strong bond between the girls on the team and also that we get to play and practice at very nice golf courses.”
Ramage joins WKU from Cooper High School in Burlington. She is ranked No. 365 by Junior Golf Scoreboard and qualified for the 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur, which was played at Bel Air Country Club in Los Angeles.
At Cooper, Ramage earned six varsity letters and tallied 19 career victories. She was a three-time first-team all-state honoree, five-time region champion, four-time conference champion and finished her senior season with a stroke-average under par.
The daughter of Rita and George, Ramage plans to study communications at WKU.
“(WKU) felt like home. I am familiar with the area and have many friends that live there,” Ramage said. “The campus is so pretty. I just love everything about WKU! I am very grateful for the opportunity that coach Gary has given me and I am so excited to be part of such an amazing team.”
