Burn ban lifted for Warren County

A ban on outdoor burning instituted in early September has been lifted after substantial rainfall in Warren County abated intensely dry conditions.
Along with the order from Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman lifting the ban, two fire hazard seasons were established, from Feb. 15 to April 30 and from Oct. 1 to Dec. 15 each year.
During these seasons, it will be against the law for Warren County residents to set fire to any combustible material located in or within 150 feet of wooded or brush areas except between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., or if ground is covered with snow.
