After 36 holes of the Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman University Golf Course, Western Kentucky’s women’s golf team and senior Catie Craig sit in third place after Saturday’s second round in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Lady Toppers are at 6-over par 582 through two rounds and sit seven shots back of Xavier’s lead.
For the second straight week, Craig is two strokes back of the lead through 36 holes. She is at 4-under 140 following her second consecutive 2-under 70. She totaled five birdies in the round.
Averi Cline matched Craig on Saturday with a 2-under 70, thanks to four birdies.
“Another solid day for the team as we got great rounds from Catie and Averi today,” WKU coach Adam Gary said in a news release. “We’ve once again put ourselves in position to play meaningful golf during tomorrow’s final round and I look forward to seeing who will rise to the challenge for us.”
