Bailey sets the tone

Bowling Green junior hitter Amirra Bailey set the tone in Tuesday’s 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 30-28) win over Greenwood.

Playing at home for the first time this season, Bailey sparked the offense with a game-high 22 kills – including an impressive nine kills in the opening set.

Bailey said it was nice to be back home and she was happy to do her part to help the team pick up a big District 14 win.

“It feels great,” Bailey said. “Just anything to help my team out. If I can take a little bit (of pressure) off everyone else, that always feels great.”

Bowling Green returns to action on Sept. 24, hosting district opponent Warren Central at 7 p.m.
