Franklin Car and Craft Show set for Sept. 21

The 61st annual Franklin Car and Craft Show will take place at 8 a.m. Sept. 21 at the historic downtown district in Franklin.

The Simpson County Tourism Commission will coordinate the show with Hunt Auto of Franklin, which will serve as the main sponsor.

The show is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Registration is from 8 to 11 a.m. with a $20 entry fee. T-shirts will be given to the first 200 entrants.

A trophy presentation will take place at 2 p.m. on the lawn of the Simpson County Courthouse. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 40 Favorites. Other awards include 8 Dignitary Picks and a special motorcycle category.

Food trucks and vendor booths will open at 8 a.m. and the Franklin-Simpson cheerleaders will host their annual pancake breakfast inside First United Methodist Church beginning at 7 a.m.
