SPECIAL SERVICES

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Alvaton will celebrate its pastor’s 15-year anniversary on Sept. 8. There will be no morning service. The afternoon service will begin at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served upon the arrival of afternoon guests, the Rev. Brian Hogg and Alpha Baptist Church from Franklin. The Rev. Peter K. Williams is pastor. 

SPECIAL MUSIC

The Garmons will sing at 10 a.m. Sept. 8 for homecoming services at Coffey’s Chapel Community Church at 3955 Ky. 76 in Russell Springs; at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Fairview Ave.; and at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Portland General Baptist Church in Portland, Tennessee, at 10 W. Market St.

The Kentucky Evangelist Gospel Music Fellowship will host a gospel music gathering at 6 p.m. Sept. 7 at McDonald’s just off of Hwy. 231 in Beaver Dam. For more information, email truesong777@gmail.com.
