Delafield School wins first place in 1928 parade

The Delafield School won first place and $25 in the American Legion parade, according to an Aug. 22, 1928, Daily News article.
The article said that “the Delafield float contained placards from various industries located in the Delafield section of the county. The cards were around a raised platform which was surmounted by a cage in which two lovebirds were imprisoned. The lovebirds were pretty little girls.”
Alvaton school won the second prize of $15 and Greenwood won $10 with third place.
