Restaurant inspections for July 24-Aug. 1, according to the Barren River District Health Department:
Melissa’s Country Cafe, 7493 Russellville Road, follow-up required because there was the presence of rodent feces underneath the three-compartment sink and dishwasher (feces and insect traps must be removed), 95.
Carniceria Cuautepec, 306A Old Morgantown Road, follow-up required because there were no written procedures for using time as a public health control with pork rinds; and there was the presence of rodent feces in the closet, 93.
Wing Stop, 2435 Nashville Road, Suite 106, follow-up required because the inside of the ice machine lids were not clean, 96.

– Restaurants are inspected at least once every six months by Barren River District Health Department inspectors who use a 44-item checklist to evaluate a restaurant’s cleanliness, food handling and storage. Follow-up inspections are done if needed. A restaurant has 10 days to correct its problem if it scores below an 85.
