“Jenna will bring athleticism, speed and big-game experience to our program,” Tudor said in a news release. “She is fun to watch fly around in the outfield and create havoc on the bases. Her collegiate numbers on both sides of the ball are solid. We are thrilled to add her to our team.”
Blanton played in 109 games for the Wildcats over the last two seasons, tallying 44 hits and 30 runs scored. She had 91 at-bats as a redshirt freshman during the 2023 season, scoring 16 runs, while totaling 65 at-bats in 2024 with 14 runs scored.
A native of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, Blanton is a strong slap hitter who has tremendous speed and defensive ability in the outfield. She missed her freshman campaign in 2022 with an injury.
Blanton played her travel ball for Fury Platinum Higdon and was named 2019 and 2021 first team all-state, first team all-conference and all-section for Maple Lake High School (Minnesota). She was a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee in addition to being a three-time conference champion and two-time section champion. During her memorable junior campaign, she posted a 0.61 ERA with five no-hitters, 18 shutouts, three perfect games, 249 strikeouts and had a .449 batting average at the plate.
