Bowling Green on July 8, 2003, celebrated the return of 4-year-old Presley Nash, who had been recuperating in Minneapolis since October following a bone marrow transplant.
As a baby, Presley was diagnosed with mannosidosis, a rare disease afflicting one’s ability to process sugars properly. The community responded by rallying around the Nash family to help offset financial burdens.
Now 25, Nash takes pride in her own endeavors to give back with Presley’s Promise, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting people without housing.
