Glasgow’s Jackson wins BGT event at Park Mammoth Golf Club

Glasgow’s Griffin Jackson claimed a one-stroke victory in the boys’ 15-18 age division Monday in a Bluegrass Golf Tour Junior Series event held at Park Mammoth Golf Club in Park City.

Jackson shot a 1-under par 69 to earn medalist honors, with Louisville’s Brooks Cole finishing as runner-up after shooting an even-par 70.

Scottsville’s Barton Rutledge took third in the boys’ 15-18 division with a 1-over 71, and Scottsville’s Eli Stamper tied for fourth with a 72. Bowling Green’s Brady Patterson and Ryan Loiars were part of a three-way tie for sixth after both carded 74s, Bowling Green’s Jake Price and Russellville’s Davis Switzer tied for ninth after both shot 75, and Bowling Green’s Johnny Brown was 11th with a 76.

Other area players included Woodburn’s Carson Smith and Russellville’s Riley Shepherd, who both shot 79 to tie for 17th; Bowling Green’s Micah Page (tied for 19th, 80), Russellville’s Karson Rodgers (tied for 25th, 81), Bowling Green’s Brady Hightower, Miles Deaton and Franklin’s Alan Johnson (three-way tie for 28th, 83), Bowling Green’s Keegan Unick (tied for 34th, 84), Glasgow’s Jacob Spence (37th, 96) and Bowling Green’s Camden Richerson (38th, 99).

Bowling Green’s Eli Wade finished tied with Shepherdsville’s Rock Latkovski for first place in the boys’ 12-14 division after both shot 3-under 67. Bowling Green’s Adrian Bewley was fourth with a 74, Glasgow’s J.P. Ross took eighth with an 82, Bowling Green’s Sullivan Baer was ninth with an 83 and Bowling Green’s Ezra Page was 12th with an 87.

In the girls’ 15-18 division, Bowling Green’s Elsie Espinola was third with a 7-over 77, four shots back of winner Kenzie Willen of Burkesville. Bowling Green’s Stella Forney was fourth with a 78, Scottsville’s Lucy Zalla finished sixth with an 83, Bowling Green’s Sydney McClanahan and Amy Tomblinson tied for seventh after both carded an 84, Bowling Green’s Mary Douglas Childers, Glasgow’s Chloe Witcher and Scottsville’s Ella Anderson tied for 10th after each shot 87, and Franklin’s Chloe Chaney was 13th with a 91.

Bowling Green’s Riley Miller claimed runner-up honors in the girls’ 14 and under division with a 17-over 87, five shots behind winner Molly Amos of Beaver Dam.

In the boys’ 11-12 (9-hole) division, Bowling Green’s John Miller Wade was third with an 11-over 46, Scottsville’s Simon Stamper was fourth with a 52 and Glasgow’s Wyatt Morgan was fifth with a 57.

Bowling Green’s Ollie Donnelly earned runner-up honors in the boys 10 and under (9-hole) division with a 17-over 52.

In the girls’ 12 and under (9-hole) division, Bowling Green’s Ally Jean Stephens was third with a 12-over 47.
