The second annual Summer Slam middle school speed tennis tournament took place June 29 at Kereiakes Park.

Players from seven different schools took part in the tournament, which was divided into three divisions and featured a maximum field of 24 participants with 42 matches played during the day.

In a speed tournament, players, play three single-set matches in their pool and then play in a final seeded match.

Scores will be submitted to the United State Tennis Association and count toward players’ WTN ranking. The tournament was hosted by South Warren Middle School.
