WC South 11-12 all-stars roll into district semifinals

Nate Oliver went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead Warren County South to a 23-0 win against Warren County North in the District 1 11-and-12 year-old tournament Monday at Ephram White Park.
Cade Compton was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs and scored three runs, and Harrison Brownlee also went 2-for-2 with an RBI and scored three times. Micah Sells was 2-for-3 and scored three runs, Tyce Gaebler and Cam James each collected a hit and two RBIs, and Colton Stinson, DJ Morgan, Cooper Cyphers, John Miller Wade and Andrew Sherwin each drove in a run in the win.

Brownlee, Porter Causey and Wade combined on a three-hit shutout for WC South, with each pitching a scoreless inning. They combined for eight strikeouts and only allowed one walk.
WC South advanced to Tuesday’s district semifinals to face Bowling Green East at Ephram White Park.

WC South 21, Muhlenberg County 0
Pax James and Samuel Kim collected three hits apiece to spark Warren County South’s 9-10 all-stars to a 21-0 win against Muhlenberg County on Monday at Ephram White Park.
Bryce Beil led WC South with three RBIs. Grayson Krantz, Carter Lobb and Garner Martin tallied two RBIs apiece in the win.

Krantz, Landon Bale and Trapper Reber combined on a one-hit shutout, with each pitching an inning in the win.
WC South was set to take on Daviess County in the district semifinals on Tuesday at Ephram White Park.
BG East 16, Logan County 1
Mason Hawkins and Easton Jenkins each went 2-for-2 at the plate as Bowling Green East tallied 13 hits in a 16-1 win against Logan County on Monday at Ephram White Park.
For BG East, 11 of the 12 players on the roster record a hit with 10 different players scoring a run.
BG East was set to face Owensboro Southern in the district semifinals Tuesday at Ephram White Park.
Daviess County 6, WC North 0
Daviess County blanked Warren County North in pool play Monday at Ephram White Park.
Easton Mils, Grady Pate, Austin Benter and Ethan Cheek each tallied a hit for WC North, with Pate also pitching five innings and allowing no earned runs. Six errors led to all six runs in the game for Daviess.
The loss eliminated WC North from the tournament.
On Sunday, WC North downed Logan County 10-4. Pate went 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs and scored three runs, and Mills notched a pair of hits and scored three times. Karter Smith, Caiden Colwell and Benter finished with two hits each in the win.
Benter got the win against Logan, allowing four runs over five innings.
