“I’m excited to add Julia on the roster this fall,” Gary said in a news release. “ Her attitude, work ethic and experience will fit right into our team’s culture. I can’t wait to see her develop over the next three years.”

Zigrossi, a New York native, spent one season with the Dukes. She played in six events during her freshman campaign at JMU. She finished her season with a stroke average of 76.88. This includes a low round of 71 during the Lady Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman.

Zigrossi prepped at Our Lady of Mercy in New York, where she piled up accolades. She was a three-time sectional champion, a six-time state qualifier and earned two All-State New York selections. She was also a three-time NYS Four Ball Champion and won the NYS Junior Am in 2021.

“I’m excited to be joining a program that has everything I am looking for in all aspects,” Zigrossi said in a news release. “I can’t wait to bond with a new team full of great girls and a coach like coach Gary who has so much to offer. I think WKU is truly the right fit for me, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a Lady Topper.”

Zigrossi joins Kaylee Dwyer and Reagan Folk as the new roster additions for the 2024-25 season.

The Lady Topper golf program is coming off of a record-breaking season. The team turned in eight top-three finishes, including two victories at the Jennifer Duke Invitational and the Spring Break Shootout. Lady Topper junior Catie Craig received an at-large bid to compete in the NCAA Women’s Golf Regional.
