WKU’s Isenbarger finishes 17th in high jump at U.S. Olympic Trials

- Western Kentucky graduate student Katie Isenbarger finished tied for 17th in the women’s high jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon.
Western Kentucky graduate student Katie Isenbarger competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials on Saturday at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The Zionsville, Indiana, native finished the meet with a 1.73 meter jump. Isenbarger finished up in 17th alongside a competitor from Ohio State.
The meet puts a bow on a remarkable track and field career for Isenbarger. The multi-sport athlete won three Conference USA titles and competed in both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships while wearing WKU Red and White.
Some of her other accolades include six CUSA Field Athlete of the Week honors and three CUSA Track and Field All-Academic team honors.
