Kentucky squad prevails in KY/TN Border Battle

A contingent of area golfers helped the Bluegrass Golf Tour Junior series squad prevail 26-14 against Tennessee in the KY/TN Border Battle on Friday at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter.
Glasgow’s Jase Cook, Bowling Green’s Elsie Espinola, and Scottsville’s Barton Rutledge and Eli Stamper played for the Kentucky squad.
Trending
in the Four Ball portion of the tournament, Cook combined with Prospect’s Parker Conover to earn a tie in their match. Rutledge and Stamper won their match 1 up.
Espinola and Paducah’s McCall Moore won their match 2 up in the selective drive alternate shot round, with Cook and Conover also winning 3 and 2, and Rutledge and Stamper earning a tie.
In Singles play, Cook won his match 2 and 1, and Rutledge won his match 2 up.
