Tinius to compete in Miss Kentucky competition

Bowling Green native Chapel Tinius will compete for the job of Miss Kentucky 2024 June 12-15 in Bowling Green.
She is a recent graduate of Belmont University in Nashville where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theater and a Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate communication.

The first-born of Jim and Dana Tinius, she is the sister of younger twin brothers, Thomas and Truman.
In the competition, she will share her musical talent as she plays a fiddle medley.
She will advocate for her social impact initiative Operation Gratitude – For the Fallen, For the Fighting and For the Veterans while at the state competition.
Recently, she completed her second Run to Fly Challenge, running ten 10ks in 10 days in 10 Kentucky counties to fundraise for Honor Flight Kentucky, recorded a harp/violin CD to gift to veterans and was a Carry the Load Memorial May National Relay team member who walked from Seattle to Dallas, sharing the stories of military members who have fallen and listening to the stories of veterans across the nation.
She also completed a marketing internship with Strength for Service Inc., a nonprofit based in Nashville that distributes devotional books to first responders, military members and veterans, focusing on social media, marketing and grant writing for nonprofit organizations.
Amanda Kate Bailey will compete in the 2024 Miss Kentucky Competition as the local titleholder Miss White Oak Waters June 12-15 at SKyPAC.

For the talent portion of the competition, she will give a vocal performance.
Bailey is the 24-year-old daughter of Bob and Tracy Harder. She attended Western Kentucky University’s Mahurin Honors College where she majored in biochemistry with minors in neuroscience and business administration.
While she currently works in home health care services, her future career goals include pursuing a masters in medical illustration and moving into the field of science education.
Her interest in the scientific and artistic fields of study are what inspired Amanda’s social impact initiative, “stART with STEM,” which encourages a hands-on approach at co-curricular learning to not only inspire Kentucky students to think differently about their schoolwork, but also strengthen their interpersonal skills and curiosity outside of the classroom setting.
Hallie Karson Slocum of Bowling Green will compete in the 2024 Miss Kentucky Competition June 12-15 at SKyPAC.
She currently holds the title of Miss Corvette City and is the 22-year-old daughter of Rich and Angie Slocum.
She is a senior at Western Kentucky University studying corporate and organizational communications and musical theatre.
After graduation, she would like to perform professionally and/or work in pharmaceutical sales.
For the talent portion of the competition, Slocum will give a vocal performance.
In pursuit to helping foster families and children in the foster care system, she uses her community service initiative “Fostering Love” to educate others, provide support and show love to the foster care community.
