A person who worked at the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of allowing contraband into the facility.

Jose Soto, 56, of Leitchfield, was arrested by Kentucky State Police on a count of first-degree facilitation of promoting contraband.

Kentucky State Police said the arrest came in response to a complaint that KSP received on Dec. 3 regarding employees at the juvenile detention center, prompting an “extensive investigation by detectives.”

An arrest citation claims that Soto was involved in the facilitation of a contraband cell phone that was found in the facility.

Soto was scheduled to appear Wednesday in Warren District Court for arraignment.
