The March 11, 1949, edition of the Daily News announced an upcoming class reunion for Western State College alumni. This class in particular was special: the 1924 graduating class were the first after Western State College (now Western Kentucky University) offered four-year programs.

On June 2, they held their get-together in honor of 25 years since their graduation.
