Details on the construction of the Pushin Building – located on what is now Fountain Square – were anticipated by Bowling Green residents in early 1920.
In particular, there had been speculation about how tall the building would be. On Feb. 16, 1920, the Daily News reported that they had finally secured information on the plans just as the basement was being excavated. The building would be four stories tall, including the basement, and construction was proceeding as quickly as weather would permit.
