On a team loaded with lightning-quick guards and wings, Bowling Green senior Mason Ritter can’t help but stand out.

The 6-foot-8 forward, already committed to Ivy League school Columbia, has proven to be much more than simply an effective player in the paint – although he can certainly do that too.

Ritter, who tallied 14 points and six rebounds in an 81-33 home win against South Warren last week, has been a seamless fit for the Purples’ up-tempo offense and a crucial part of their defense.

“They’re able to move really fast around the perimeter and me being able to kind of hold down the inside of the court, they’re able to really guard up tight on people and I’m able to keep people from getting easy layups, so it’s a really good combination for us.” – Jeff Nations
