Something needs to be done about bad drivers

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice the amount of people running red lights in Bowling Green and Warren County? This is a serious problem.

It seems to be happening more and more all the time. I know people don’t want to be told what to do or anything else. But I have a solution to all the irresponsible and crazy driving, whether it be cell phones or people who just don’t care. If our local government doesn’t want to spend the money for red light camera enforcement, God knows they spend it on every other useless project that comes up. It’s time for insurance companies to step in. It’s time for the insurance companies to make it mandatory when you get insurance they can place a device in your vehicle that monitors your driving habits and the cost of your insurance will be based on this.

When it gets to the point you can’t afford your insurance or you are uninsurable, your license will be suspended or revoked. We need something to be done. There are too many innocent people being hurt or killed because of the stupidity and ignorance of some. I know this can be done, I worked for a company that had this device in their company vehicles. It monitored speed in different speed zones, seat belt usage, hard braking, red light, and stop signs, quick or sudden lane changes. We got a printout every Friday noting the violations. Everyone complains about being told what they can or cannot do, but people in general are so ignorant today. They need someone to step in and do something. People have no respect for anything or anyone, they think they can do whatever they want and it’s OK. Time to show them otherwise.
