Two people were arrested early Saturday at a Bowling Green apartment complex following complaints of mail theft.

Adriel Morales, 37, of Miami and Didier Almagro Toledo, 26, of West Palm Beach, Fla., were arrested by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on charges of theft of mail matter, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen mail.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to Kingston Heights apartment complex around 12:48 a.m. Saturday in response to a mail theft complaint.

The complainant told deputies that someone in a silver 2020 Toyota Camry with Florida tags was seen stealing mail from the front office of the complex.

The sheriff’s office stopped the car and the occupants consented to a search.

Multiple checks written to various apartments in Kentucky and West Virginia were found in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation is ongoing.
